As I mentioned in yesterday’s blog entry, my family and I went to Seoulland, an amusement park inside Seoul Grand Park. Earlier this month, we visited the zoo at Seoul Grand Park. With a footprint the size of Disneyland, Seoulland isn’t quite as majestic or thematic as Disney’s theme parks. Seoulland serves as more of an affordable, functional family fun park. Admission was fairly cheap (about $9 per adult with a discount coupon). We even received free gifts, pairs of hunter orange and black Thinsulate gloves embossed with the Seoulland logo. The park offers a wide variety of fun attractions, including rides, carnival booths, restaurants, and gift shops.
We went with two other couples and kids in tow. The day was cool and smoggy but not unbearable. When we arrived, we were greeted by a pungent smell that turned out to be the wafting smell of fried silkworms. Yes, silkworms. I took a photo of the concoction (see below), but I couldn’t capture the acrid smell with my digital camera. We opted to snack on corn dogs and chicken sticks instead of trying silkworm. I’m sure they must be delicious!

That picture reminds me my life in Korea.
That silkwarm,, heehee I had them alot when I was a kid.
If I smell them now,, it will not be pleasant but at that time, that was my favorite snack.
I don’t understand I could chew those in my mouth with my teeth..but…yes I did and I loved it!
I can’t explain how they taste..hm..let me think..it’s like…
water in the canned sausage..hm…
Yeah.. it’s hard to explain..until you actually try them.

i am katy~ I have visited your space before and i like it s much I put it in my fave spaces…i love the Orient and the people and their Culture and their History and arts and music, I like all of the music….But I love the souns of Traditinal instruments…Going to the Oientis one of my dreams, i dream ofgoing there one day…..You are soooo lucky to be able to have the experience, I want o go so bad it huurts, It is a dream for me….You are very blessed to be able to be a part ot their existence….I know now that I will be comig back here to "visit" the Orient, as right now is the closest i can get to it!! i will be back for more updates in your space, I am very glad to meet you and Ihope that we will become friends hee at space, Please stop by my sometime if you have the time!
